So next weekend our stake is having an adult Valentine’s dance, with the theme being cheesy/retro prom.

Last night I was working on my laptop when I heard music coming from the backyard. I looked out the window, and what did I see?

Pretty much that. Except way better, because it was Joshua instead of John Cusack (and also iPod speakers instead of a boom box).

So I’m going to prom . :)

Around the dinner table, talking about going clothes shopping. Josh is saying I can go shopping that night after the kids are in bed.

Me to Josh: “I want to go shopping with you.”

Carson: “I want to go shopping with me too.”

It’s a Saturday morning, and we were all eating cereal around the table and planning our nice, open Saturday.

“What do you want to do today?” I ask Josh.

“I want to get on top of our finances.”

“I want to go all the way to the top of it, too,” Carson says.

“To the top of what? Our finances?”

“Yeah.”

We laugh. Then Carson adds,

“Annay not try to get all the way to the top. She too little.”

Conversations with Carson are getting more and more fun. :)

(By the way, this is what Josh means: Categorizing purchases from the past 9.5 months… I don’t think we’ve had a finance discussion since Annelise was born…)
