Yep, that’s right, Lyman Baby 2 is on the way! We had the first ultrasound just this morning. The quality of the ultrasound must have been better than with Carson, because Josh and I were amazed at how much we could see! Legs, arms, nose, even fingers and toes! Here’s our new baby waving hello to the world. Can you see the hand?
The due date is April 6, 2013, which puts me at right about 12.5 weeks. All is well and we’re so excited for the future!
On August 11 we celebrated Carson’s first birthday. Yay, Carson!
He loved his cake. It was pretty much the first sweet thing Carson’s eaten in his life, so no surprise there. :) He had angel food cake, strawberries, and whipped cream.

My sister Brenn (who was visiting that week; so fun to see you, Brenn!) helped me make this sign. It was funny because I left out the “h” originally and neither of us noticed until it was finished. But then I said, “No, I have to fix this! I’m going to reuse it next year!” so we added the “h” in with some fancy cut-and-paste. ;-) Carson did enjoy looking at his sign and pointing to it excitedly all day.

Though none of these pictures show it (sorry for the bad photo journaling!), the Lymans were actually there for the party and we all had a blast. Thanks for coming, Lymans! A few weeks ago my (Paige’s) family came to Colorado to visit. A few days after they left, Josh, Carson, and I headed to Utah to celebrate my cousin Hillary’s wedding. It was great to see the Ellsworths in Denver and show them our house, and we had fun in Utah, too. It was awesome seeing so many of my cousins that I haven’t seen in forever. It was a crazy busy weekend, but we had a lot of fun. (Many thanks to my mom for all of the good pictures that you see.)
A while back (was it Memorial Day?) we headed to IKEA as a family. We needed a desk and some bookcases, but best of all, they were giving you free meals! Woo hoo! We got all this for free.
Yum, yum. And the second best part of the day was that we actually fit everything (two bookcases, one desk, and one desk chair) into our little car! (Yes, with the three of us, too.) Yeah IKEA! Such a fun store. We all had fun walking around, and Carson got finger puppets, so it was a win-win-win.
