Please excuse the excess of photos. I got a little camera-happy one day. But Carson is just moving around so much! He can roll, scoot, turn in a circle on his tummy, get up on his knees, push up on his toes, rock back and forth, every now and then pull himself into a sitting position, and Josh swears he took two mini crawling steps today. So crawling might be close…we’ll see!
Carson turned six months old on Saturday! Yay! At his six-month check up we found out he’s doing awesome. He’s right about at the 50th percentile for everything. We also introduced him to rice cereal, but he wasn’t such a fan. He took one spoonful each time we tried, but then made a face and wouldn’t take any more, or would spit it out if we snuck some in. I guess we’ll try something else. :)
He can also sit up on his own, and still lots of rolling and more and more scooting, twisting, and wiggling. He also gets up on his knees fairly often, especially when he gets up from a nap, because he sleeps on his tummy with his bum in the air. He’s just barely started rocking a little tiny bit on his knees, but after a second he’ll spread out all flat again or roll over or push up on his feet (think downward facing dog). Well, whenever crawling gets here, we’re excited! On the list this week is to start baby-proofing the house. It’s about time!

Carson has all sorts of awesome accomplishments lately. Mostly, he’s just making us smile by smiling and talking (meaning squawking, squealing, and cooing) a lot.
It would probably be better if those pictures were a video, huh? Oh well; pictures will have to do for now.
Carson is also holding his head up so well! He’s a tummy time champ. And he likes looking at this black and white baby book we have:

This is our one hundredth post! Woo hoo! Kind of neat that we’ve been posting for as long as we’ve been married (almost three years!) and through lots of major events (like having Carson!). We’re glad to have this record of our life together, and glad to share it with you. And to celebrate, some photos you may or may not have seen showing our most excited and happy faces:
